Another Good Time at Akron Comicon
This past weekend, I attended Akron Comic Con, one of the biggest and greatest comic book and pop culture conventions in the Cleveland-Akron area. I've been coming to this gathering since it was started and organized by good friend and colleague, Mike Savene. I had a great time (as always), and the turnout was spectacular: around 3,000 people were in attendance over the entire weekend. I sold a ton of posters, performed plenty of sketch cover commissions, and even got to answ

Are You Going to Akron Comicon?
Hello again, comics and pop culture fans! It's that magical time a year again: time for the annual Akron Comicon! This awesome, relatively young con was started by my good friend and colleague, Mike Savene, and I've been in attendance since the very start! I hope everyone is planning to attend this weekend, Saturday (10:00am to 6:00pm) and Sunday (10:00am to 4:00pm) at the John S. Knight Center. Be sure to stop by my booth and say hi! I'll be doing my usual: selling posters a

Preview: "American Knight" Statue
I'm back with an exclusive look at the American Knight statue that was available as a reward for donating to Kickstarter 2016. (Once again, many thanks to everyone who donated and helped us make AMERICAN KNIGHT #1: "WEAPONS OF WAR" into a reality!) As part of my ongoing attempts to keep donors informed about the status of their rewards, I bring to you the latest images of the statue: Over the coming weeks, I'll be posting more information about the rewards and how you can get

AK#1: "Weapons of War" Progress Report
It's been a little over a week since my last blog post, so I thought it was time for a status update on American Knight #1: Weapons of War. Work has been progressing at a steady pace, despite the slow period we all hit around the holidays. At this point, 50% of the pages have been laid out, sketched, lined, inked, and colored. However, we do not consider them 100% completed, because they lack the all-important lettering, which will be done all at once when the artwork is comp

Kickstarter-Donor Rewards Update
Hello again, everyone. This blog post is specifically for those who donated to the American Knight Kickstarter 2016. As always, I would like to thank you all for your donations. Your generosity has made a lifelong dream of ours into a reality. This post is to address a number of email inquiries I've received, and to keep every donor informed on the developments in the shipping of donors' rewards. Unfortunately, I've run into a bit of trouble with the T-shirt vendor that I had
Kickstarter-Donor Rewards Update
Greetings everyone! On behalf of myself and everyone at Mask & Cape Comics, I’d like to sincerely thank you all once again for making American Knight possible. I have a few updates for you regarding the status of American Knight #1 and everyone's Kickstarter rewards. We have some good news and bad news. First, the good news: all donor rewards and reward packages will be ready for shipping by the end of December as originally projected. Unfortunately, we’ve encountered some de

Come See Me Tomorrow at N.E. Geek Expo!
Hello again, everyone! I'm back with some comic convention news: tomorrow (Saturday) is the 2016 N.E. Geek Expo! This is one of my favorite smaller cons, which I've watched grow in size over the years into a fantastic gathering of pop culture enthusiasts. The increasing crowd sizes have forced the con to relocate to a larger venue, the Spire Institute in Geneva. Doors open at 11:00AM and close at 7:00PM. Be sure to stop by my booth for high-quality posters of your favorite he

Kickstarter Thank You's
Well, as they say, the check is officially in the mail. And, as another "thank you" to the dozens of wonderful donors who made American Knight come to life, here is a complete list of everyone who helped out. This list will also appear on the updated "Kickstarter" page of this site—now that it needs a complete overhaul! (I tried my best to find and include everyone's real names, not just SNs or online handles. Names appear in alphabetical order. Hope you enjoy!) Adam Strom Am

It is humbling to know that your support will bring months of planning, designing, and writing for American Knight into reality. Thank you again to everyone who donated and/or shared the Kickstarter page around social media. Your
